Surviving Christmas

Feel like Christmas is the period of the year were most of the weight appears after indulging in family feasts?

If so, why not come and visit Davis Dietetics at Bella Vista to learn ways to loose those unwanted Christmas kilos this year. Meanwhile try these simple tips.

.Christmas is one day not 2 weeks, don't buy food for an army, give leftovers away and limit how many parties you attend

.Have a meal, this limits hours of nibbles that you don't feel satisfied with, if you have nibbles include healthy options like vegetable sticks, philly cheese or hummus dip and vita weets

.Include seafood, lighter and more fresh than just heavy fatty Christmas meats

.Don't forget the veggies, large bowel of salad or roast veggies this will make any meal healthier

.Add a fruit platter/salad to your dessert options, you are probably not the only one being a bit careful this Christmas, give you guests a healthy choice

.Go for a family walk on Christmas day after lunch, play outside with the kids new toys or go for a walk to see the Christmas lights. This does not feel like exercise but a fun family activity
